Final Project Reflection

Our project was very successful because we made a satire using the
correct criteria. Are video is funny because we mocked the snuggie, by making it into the snuggie chair. We exaggerated on how ridiculous this invention is.  We used the satirical elements of exaggeration because no school would buy snuggie chairs. We did a parody of an infomercial and mocked the most laughable parts of infomercials  .We were inspired to do the “Snuggie Chair “because whenever I used to watch TV, this infomercial would play. Collingwood is so rich and are very unwise with their money. For example, there are flat screen TV’s in the hallways, which no body looks at!  The TV’s only show the blocks and missing items that could be easily replaced with a poster.

It was very easy to make this video because the idea just popped into our minds. We were able to effectively find lots of ideas to support are topic. My experience working in a group was very efficient because we worked as a team and equally did work. I would not regret anything; I thought this was a very profitable project. I would try to develop my skills with the iMovie, for future projects. I like collaborating because it is better to have two brains working on a presentation than one. For example, when I had trouble thinking of an idea Ethan helped me find one.

It was very easy too create this project because we were prepared with a script and all the materials such as our blankets and video camera. I have learned lots of new things over this unit; a month ago I would not have known what a satire is. Ethan also taught more about iMovie, I would not have known before this project. This project went accordingly to plan because we were prepared on the day that we filmed. I enjoyed this project a lot because we could create a video while having fun, especially filming you and Mr. Pool. I am so glad that we did this project, because it was so beneficial.

What Makes your book humerous

“The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian “uses low comedy and comedy of manners. This book was about a poor, First nation’s kid living on the reservation, who is going through many   decisions that will change his life forever. It uses comedy of manners because of the difference of classes. For an example, Arnold noticed that the books at school were forty years old. He was very angry and disappointed so he moved to a school out of town, because his teacher said he had lot of potential. The author uses low comedy a lot such as, when Arnold states that he is only good at masturbating. Reading this book was like drugs, after the first hit, you do not want to stop.

2 Examples of Satire

This photo is very satirical because it poking fun of two issues. It is using a pun and exaggeration. It is drawing attention to the issue of traveling in basketball and traveling at the airport. Relating to this photo is very easy because I play basketball and get called for traveling several times. I also travel a lot and the security checks are only getting longer.

This article is very funny because it states that the trainArticleers, who work for the New York Knicks, do not know what they are doing. The New York Knicks are filled with upcoming athletes such as Jeremy Lin, Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler who are all hurt frequently. It is bring attention to the trainers that treat these athletes by saying that these trainers use clipboard, water bottles basketballs, rolls of tape and fist to treat these athletes. In most comedies you have to know what’s going on and this is one of those times.
